Professional Summary

Ali Ghavami is a Research Engineer in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where his work spans cryocooler design and cryogenic systems engineering, thermal modeling, structural and CFD analysis, electromagnetic simulation, and thermoacoustic modeling. Ali earned his PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech under Dr. Ghiaasiaan's supervision and his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. His research has been recognized with several honors, including the Best Paper Award at the International Cryocooler Conference (ICC21 & ICC22) and the Russell B. Scott Memorial Award at the Cryogenic Engineering Conference  (CEC/ICMC 2019).
