Members of Woodruff School Community Recognized at ASME IMECE Meeting
Five individuals with ties to the Woodruff School were recognized at the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition on November 15 in Pittsburgh, PA. These individuals include Bob Nerem, Tim Lieuwen, Todd Allen, Sean Wu, and Asegun Henry.
Fu Receives Faculty Institute Diversity Champion Award
Assistant Professor Dr. Katherine Fu has received the Faculty Institute Diversity Champion Award for her leadership and commitment to building an inclusive campus community and advancing a culture of inclusive excellence.
Founding Director of Nuclear Engineering Passes
Dr. William B. (Bill) Harrison III, age 89, of Mobile, Alabama, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from the complications of pulmonary disease.
Bill joined the faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1953 and ultimately served as the founding Director and Professor of the School of Nuclear Engineering in 1962.
