What is your connection to Georgia Tech?
I have been on the board, president, and active for 20+ years with the Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club. My husband, Bert Bras, is a faculty member and Associate Chair for Administration for the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering.
What is your current professional role? Please list a few notable career accomplishments.
Currently, I am a residential realtor with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s.
Some of my notable accomplishments:
- I am a founding member of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s Intown Office, and an Atlanta Realtor Association Top Producer for 10+ years.
- I was a director of International Planning at Delta Airlines, responsible for expanding service to Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia and developing a highly profitable international network.
- I was a director of International Planning at American Airlines where I helped develop and initiate highly profitable service to Latin America and the Caribbean.
Why are you passionate about WoW?
I believe more women are needed in all professional arenas, particularly STEM and politics/government, to protect the health and safety of our communities and planet.
What are your hobbies and passions?
I love gardening, hiking, traveling, animals, and vegan cooking.

What advice would you give a young female engineer?
Do not be afraid of failing or of asking for advice. Also, your verbal and written communication skills are very important. Communicate, communicate, communicate!
