Submission Guidelines:

  • Submissions should be in the form of op-eds and should not exceed 800 words.
  • Submissions should be titled to reflect the theme of your specific op-ed.
  • Submissions must be in English and formatted according to the GT Editorial Style Guide.
  • Submissions are due by Mar. 14th.
  • Winners will be announced Apr. 5th.

Evaluation: Entries will be evaluated by a committee of faculty and alumni based on appropriateness for the public, timeliness, clarity, correctness, and persuasiveness (See rubric).

Prizes: The prizes for this prompt will be 1st place $2,500, 2nd place $1,500, and 3rd place $500.
