Join us on Thursday, March 14, 2024, to hear Woodruff School graduate David Montes de Oca Zapiain speak as part of the ME Shaping the World Speaker Series where he will highlight how Mechanical Engineering uniquely prepares you to change the world and how an ME at Sandia National Labs is enabling the future through material innovation. 

Bio

David Montes de Oca Zapiain is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. He obtained his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering. He is currently a senior member of technical staff in the Department of Material and Data Science at Sandia National Laboratories, where he focuses on researching novel approaches to integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence into the manufacturing and development of materials.
