Teaching Interests

Professor Gomes' teaching interests include core mechanical engineering subjects such as solid mechanics and thermodynamics as well as upperclassmen courses such as fluid mechanics and machine design. His instruction seeks to connect theory to everyday observable phenomena, particularly those that align with his students' interests.

Research Interests

Professor Gomes is not active in research, but his interests include computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and gas turbine engine simulation.
