Teaching Interests
Professor Kousik’s teaching interests encompass fundamental and advanced topics in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on dynamics, control, and robotics. His instruction supports undergraduate and graduate education, focusing on enhancing students’ understanding of dynamics and control principles and their practical applications. Professor Kousik is committed to integrating research insights into his teaching to foster analytical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
Research Interests
Professor Kousik’s research is focused on bridging the gap between theory and practice for safe deployment of autonomous robots. To achieve this, he and his team design and deploy techniques across formal methods, machine learning, and robot perception, planning, and control. The research actively involves graduate and undergraduate students and contributes to advancing knowledge in mechanical engineering and robotics.
