Shreyas Kousik, assistant professor in the Woodruff School, is part of a research team awarded nearly $798,000 from the National Science Foundation to study how humans learn complex balance tasks. Using unicycle riding as the test case, the team will collect data from participants as they progress from novice to skilled riders, then develop a “robotics assistive unicycle” to explore how human-robot collaboration can accelerate learning.
