Teaching Interests

Professor Aidun's teaching is focused on core mechanical engineering principles related to fluid mechanics, multiphase flow, and computational methods at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His instruction emphasizes the understanding of complex particle-fluid interactions and numerical modeling techniques, preparing students to apply theoretical and computational skills to multidisciplinary engineering problems.

Research Interests

Professor Aidun's research centers on the computational and experimental study of multiphase particulate flows. His work includes the development of advanced numerical methods for modeling complex suspensions, the dynamics of particle-fluid systems, and interfacial transport phenomena, with applications in various engineering and industrial processes. The research integrates physics-based modeling with high-performance computing to understand fundamental and applied aspects of particulate flow mechanics.
